This indenture made this first day of November in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and seventy
six between Jesse Cook of the state and county
aforesaid of the first part and D.C. Cook of the same
place of the other part witnesseth that for and in
consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five
dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing
and delivery of this presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and
conveyed and doth by these presents grant bargain and
sell unto the said D.C. Cook his heirs and assigns all
that tract of land situate lying and being in the
thirteenth district of originally Henry now Campbell
County.  Known and distinguished in the place of said
district by lot number sixty (60) the lines to be as
follows:  Commencing at the south east corner running
north to the middle of the original line, thence west
to the middle of said lot, thence south to the original
line then east to the beginning containing fifty acres
more or less, with all the rights members and
appertanances thereunto belonging to have and to hold
the aforesaid parcel of land unto him the said D.C.
Cook, his heirs and assigns together with all the
rights member and appertanances to the said parcel of
land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper
use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple.  And to
the said Jesse Cook for himself his heirs executors and
administrators the said bargained premises together
with the right, title and possession thereof  unto the
said D.C. Cook his heirs and assigns will warrant and
forever defend the right and title thereof against
themselves and against the claims of all other persons
whatever.  In testimony whereof the said Jesse Cook
hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day
and year first above written.
