Campbell County Deed Book C, p. 390-391

Georgia  }  This Indenture made the Eighteenth day of December One Thousand  
Campbell County } Eight hundred and thirty Eight six between William Davenport 
of the County and State aforesaid Attorney in fact of Rolin Smith of the County 
of Jasper & State aforesaid of the one part and Hardy H. Andrew of the County 
of Newton & state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William 
Davenport attorney as aforesaid by the Authority in him vested hath this day 
for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars to him in hand paid 
at & before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold as attorney _______& by 
these presents do grant, bargain, sell & convey unto the said Hardy H. Andrew 
his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel or lot of land lying and being 
in the Eighth district of (formally Coweta) but now Campbell County known and 
distinguished in the plan of said District by Number Twenty five (25) to have 
and to hold the said lot or parcel of land unto him the said Hardy H. Andrews 
his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights manners & 
appurtenances thereof to the same in any wise belonging, to his & their own 
proper use, benefit & behoof forever in fee simple and the said Rolin Smith 
does hereby forever warrant & defend & will warrant and defend the right and 
title to the said bargained premises against the lawful claim or claims of all 
& every person or persons whatsoever.  In testimony whereof the said William 
Davenport Attorney in fact for the said Rolin Smith hath hereunto set his hand 
and seal the day & date above written   Signed sealed and delivered in presence 
of
Ephraim Pennington					William Davenport
Jenetta L Menefee					    Attorney in fact for
							    Rolin Smith

Georgia	}   Personally appeared before me Lewis Miles a justice of the        
CountyCampbell County } peace for said Ephrim Pennington who being duly sworn 
saith on oath that he is one of the Subscribing witnesses to the within deed 
and that he saw Jennetta L Menafee the other subscribing witness assign the 
same  Sworn to and Subscribed this 13th April 1839
