All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Peggy Gilbert-Shaw AlabamaFamily@hotmail.com November 2, 2003, 10:50 pm 7th District, Lot 178 Written: June 14 1852 Recorded: June 14 1852 Georgia, Campbell County This indenture made and entered into this 14th day of June in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty two, between Lavina Langly of the county and state aforesaid of the one part and William H McLarin of the same place of the othe other part withnessth that the said Lavina Langely has this day made and assigned to the said William H McLarin his certain promissary note subs-- her hand and (--?---) (---?---) date with these presents whereby the said Lavenia Langley hath promised to pay the said William H McLarin or (---?---) seventy nine dollars and by 7 cents on or before the twenty fifth day of December next ensuing the date hereof for value recieved. Now for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars by the said William H McLarin to the said Lavina Langley in hand paid the reciept whereof his here by acknowledged as were and for the better securing the payment of the aforesaid promissary note the said Lavenia Langely hath granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents grant bargain and sell unto the said William H McLarin his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcal of Land situate lying and being in the said state and county and known and distinguished in the place of said county as fractions number one hundred and seventy eight in the seventh district containing one hundred and thirty five acres more or less with all the rights numbers and apurt----ces to the said lot of land in any wise appertain--- belongings; To have and to hold the said bargained and promise unto the said William H McLarin his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use benefits thereof forever; And the said Lavina Langely for her self her heirs Executed Admrs the said bargains promises unto the said William H McLarin will warrant and forever defend against the claim of herself and her heirs and against the claims of all persons whatsoever in provided nevertheless that if the said Lavina Langley her Exectprs Admirs shall and do will and truly pay a (---?---) to be paid unto the said William H McLarin his heirs and assignes the aforememtioned sum of seventy nine dollars and eighty sworn cts on the say and time mentioned and appointed for the payment there of in the said promissary note mentioned the--- and from thence and forth as will this present indenture adn the right to property thereby conveyed as the said promissary note shall cease deb--- and be void to all intents and purposes.
