L. P. Neese. Methodist Divine Expires After a Long Illness at Fairburn. Fairburn, Ga., November 15- Rev. L. P. Neese died at his home here Monday night at 1 o'clock after a lingering illness of four months' duration. Mr. Neese was born in Franklin county, Georgia, about 1838, being about sixty-three years old at the time of his death. He joined the North Georgia conference about forty-two years ago when a very young man and with the exception of two or three years of poor health has been an active member ever since. During his young manhood he did much hard work in the mountains of north Georgia. He has held many important places during his long ministerial career and has always been an active, earnest and zealous worker for the Master. He was for awhile pastor of Asbury church, in Atlanta. His devoted wife, who, with five children, two sons and three daughters, survive him, was Miss Missouri McLeod, of Swainsboro, Ga. He has several brothers and sisters living in the counties of Polk, Milton, Franklin and Gwinnett. His brother, Mr. Pierce Neese, a prominent business man of Buford, was with him when he died. The funeral and burial of Rev. L. P. Neese was conducted this afternoon by Dr. Heidt, of Athens, assisted by Revs. Foote, Seals, England, Green and Bell. The exercise were of impressive character. A large concourse of friends were present. The deceased had been a member of the Methodist conference for forty years and was known and loved by thousands of people in Georgia.
