John Cook (1814-1892) was married to Martha Threlkeld in Monroe Co., GA on 
Sept. 1, 1836.  The couple had 2 children, Susan Anne Cook Cochran and John H. 
Cook, before Martha's death.  John remarried to Polly Ann Burnett in Bibb Co., 
GA on Aug. 19, 1845 and the couple had moved to Campbell County by 1850.  
Together, John and Polly had at least 6 children:  Luther Napoleon Bonaparte 
Cook, Jesse Cook, James A. Cook, Georgia Ann Cook Floyd, Robert Cook, and Jane 
Cook.  John and Polly lived the rest of their lives in Campbell County and are 
buried at Friendship Baptist Church.
