Joel and Liz married Dec. 11, 1887 in Old Campbell Co.  Joel was the son of 
Joel Brock Sr. and Nancy Teal Brock and was born in Campbell County in 1859 
and died in 1932.  Liz was the daughter of Felix Cochran and Susan Anne Cook 
Cochran.  She was born in 1863 and died after the birth of their youngest 
child, Beatrice, in 1898, who also died.  Joel and Liz were the parents of 
Howard Penington Brock, Verna Brock Rainwater, Vera Brock Thomason, and Vassie 
Brock Rainwater.  Both Joel and Liz are buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church 
Cemetery.
