They only have a few books to sell and don't plan to have another printing. The cost of the book is $30. including shipping. The book is hard bound, 449 pages with index. Bird Cemetery - #58 Leaving the Candler County Court House go left on Highway 46W. The cemetery is located approximately 4.8 miles from this point. Take a right on Luther Todd Road, first right after the Canooche River. Proceed about .2 mile and take first right. This is a private driveway that is "posted." There is a cable across the road that leads to the cemetery. Walk about 20 yards and the enclosed 10x20 cemetery is on the left. The five graves are surrounded by a wire fence. This small family cemetery is all but abandoned. The inscriptions on the old headstones are almost illegible.
