Kimball-Jones Cemetery #48 This is an old family cemetery that has been abandoned. It is located off the fifteen Mile Creek known as Kimball Bay, near the I. E. Fordham place. From Candler County Court House, travel east on highway #46 for three blocks to reach Portal Highway. Turn north for 1.7 miles. Turn left on Cartee Road and travel 2.3 miles. Turn left on dirt road. The cemetery is about l mile behind a locked gate in a wooded area near the creek. There were only three gravestones found. There were two more suspected grave sites. It has been written by family members that 11 of the William Jones family were moved to Rosemary Church Cemetery in the late 1800's. Infant Watson Infant child of f.
