MRS. MINNIE PIERCE JONES

Mrs. Minnie Pierce Jones, 74, died at 4 o'clock Sunday
afternoon at a Savannah hospital following a short
illness. A native of Metter, she was born September 23,
1865. She lived in Metter most of her life, having
resided in Savannah for the past two years. Mrs. Jones
was a member of the Holiness Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. M. HOWARD,
Mrs. L. G. HUBBARD and Mrs. Maurice MOHRE, all of
Savannah, and Mrs. Dave LAMB of Augusta; two sons,
Henry FAIRCLOTH of Sylvania and John FAIRCLOTH of
Metter, and a number of grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock at the
Lake Primitive Baptist Church. Burial was in the church
cemetery Monday.

Pallbearers were Cleve ELLIS, Eddie JORDAN, Harry
ULMER, Julian STROBERT, John HOWARD and W. M. HOWARD.
