Court $3.00 October 2 days " ' $2.00 (totaled) $5.00 (signed John Ward) Sworn to & Subscribed before me this 3rd Febry. 1834 James Baskin J. P. It is ordered by the court that the treasurer pay to John Ward the within amount this 4 March 1834 Agreeable to an order of the Inferior Court of the county aforesaid we have layed out and marked a road commencing at the line of the Sixth District near ----Creek and not far from the Youngs ferry road and thence on the sixth district passing James Brantleys and B. Huckabees and thence the most practicable way passing the gold mines and intersecting the Sally Hughs road near to Jonathan Walker. Approved of and ordered by the court to be opened. Jonathan Walker, C. 3rd March 1834 I John Ward Junr do solemnly swear that I will faithful execute all writs warrents precepts and processes directed to me as deputy sheriff of the County of Carroll and true returns make and all things well and truly and without malice or partiality perform the duties of the office of the deputy sheriff of Carroll County during my continuance in office and take only my lawful fees so help me God. Sworn before me this 8th October 1834 (signature John Ward Junr) William Beall JJC Recorded 8th October 1834 It is ordered that James Brantly, William Jackson, Joseph Harper, Henry Haynes and Hiram Bowen are appointed reviewers to review and a road to intersect the road leading from Carrolton to Campbelton on the nearest and best route to commence at Carrolton and end at Popes and report the same at the next court on oath. It is ordered by the court that Christian Hight be allowed the sum of twelve dollars out of the funds arising from the poor tax for the year 1836. (signed) Jas. H. (Superior Court Carroll County) An A/C against the Inferior Court of Carroll County for service rendered as constable to one day at the Superior Court at March adjd. Term 1834 $1.00 Superior Court April Term 1834 four days $4.00 Personally came before me John Ward who being duly sworn saith that the above account is just and true (signed ) John Ward Sworn to & ascribed before me this day William Beall JJP Approved Carroll Inferior Court February Term 1837 It appearing to the court that the usual profits of the Estate of Green P Rives an illegitimate child under the age of twenty one years is insufficient to support the said boy. It is therefore ordered that the said Green P. Reves be and is hereby bound out to John Dean for and during the time of his minority on the said John binding himself by bond to Educate and Maintain and Clothe the said child agreeable to his situation or condition and as required by law.
