Freeman, who is the head of a family consisting of herself, her husband being dead, and 3 minor children to wit: Stella Freeman age 17 years, Joe Freeman age 12 years and Pearlie Freeman age 6 years. Claimed to be exempt from levy and sale for the use and benefit of herself and family under Section 2866 of the Code of Georgia: 13 1/2 acres of land and five additional acres for each of her children under the age of sixteen years. This land shall include the dwelling house if the value of such house and improvements does not exceed the sum of two hundred dollars. Provided that none of the above land be within the limits of a city town or village and does not include any cotton or wool factory, saw or grist mill or any other machinery propelled by water or steam, the value of which exceeds the sum of two hundred dollars. Fifty dollars worth of provisions and five dollars worth additional for each child. One table and set of chairs sufficient for the use of the family and household and kitchen furniture not to exceed one hundred and fifty dollars in value Beds, bedding and common bedsteads sufficient for the family Ordinary cooking utensils and table crockery Wearing apparel of herself and family Family Bible, religious works and school books Family Portraits One family sewing machine; this exemption to exist whether person owning said machine is the head of a family or not and shall be good against all debts except the purchase money Personally appeared, Mrs. J.T. Freeman, the applicant for exemption above set out who on oath says that the same is a true and correct schedule of her property which is claimed to be exempt to deponent and family under Section 2866 of the Code, which deponent prays may be recorded as provided by law.
