Hamilton of said county duly constituted, Administrators of R.V.C. Ruffin deceased of the one part and John H. Tomlinson of the same place of the other part. Note: RVC Ruffin had a will and named his son, Samuel S. Ruffin and Valentine M. Hodgson as his executor. probated April 1861. Who is Thomas M. Hamilton and why is he now Adminstrator? Witnesseth that whereas by virtue of an order granted by the court of Ordinary previous notice of application having been given according to law to Thomas M. Hamilton Adm as aforesaid, to sell fifty acres more or less belonging to the Estate of said deceased situate lying and being in the County of Carroll, State of Georgia, known and distinguished as Lot Number one hundred & thirteen (113) said fifty acres being in the North East corner of said lot in the second district of said County. After the said parcel of land was duly advertised in conformity to laws, the same was put up and exposed to sale to the highest bidder at the door of the Court House at Carrollton in said county within the legal hours of sale. On the first Tuesday in February Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Four by said Administrators, when said parcel of land was knocked off to said John F. Tomlinson at the price of five hundred and thirty dollars. ($530) Nor for and in consideration of the said sum of five hundred and thrity dollars cash in hand paid by the said John F. Tomlinson at & before the sealing and delivery of these present, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, said Thomas M. Hamilton Admin as aforesaid hath granded bargained, & sold an by these presents doth grant bargain and sell so far as the office of Admin authorized him unto the said John F. Tomlinson, his heirs and assigns the said fifty acres of land more or less with all the rights, members, and appertunances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaiinig to him the said John F. Tomlinson, his heirs and assigns in as full and ample a manner as said parcel of land was signed passissed and engaged by the said R.V.C. Ruffin deceased in his lifetime. In witness the said Thomas M. Hamilton, Administrator, as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day and year above written. Thomas M. Hamilton (Admin of R.V.C.
