Hall’s Company B 1st Reg’t Georgia Reserves, Army of the Confederate States, Colonel James H. Fannin, from the 23rd day of April 1864, when mustered into the Confederate Service for the War. Note: This muster roll contains the original entries of the men & boys who enlisted in the First Georgia Reserves, Company B. It includes the number (order in which their names were written), name, rank, enlistment data of when, where and by whom, time period of enlistment, age, height in terms of feet & inches, complexion, color of eyes & hair, occupation and place of residence at the time of enlistment. The first officers were not so noted in the recording of personal data and neither were the men & boys who comprise numbers …… - ……at the bottom of the muster roll. Although it was noted that all Privates should be in alphabetical order, not all were done so and in order to keep this muster roll authentic, I’ve listed them according to the original document. The Soldiers who made up Company B of the 1st Georgia Reserves were from the known counties of Oglethorpe (44), Greene (13), Taliaferro (4), Elbert (3), Walton (6), Clarke (7), Madison (5), Morgan (8), and DeKalb (1). These numbers are subject to change as more research is completed and the “unknowns” become “knowns”. All transcriptions contain errors to some degree due to the poor quality of the microfilm or dark spots that have occurred with age, or white spots that make the writing illegible. I have tried to reconstruct this original entry muster roll as accurately as is humanly possible. Even so, I cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. However, it is my hope that this muster roll will be of some small benefit to you in your research of your ancestors who served in the military during the years of the Civil War. OFFICERS: 1.
