(Note: Surname also spelled as Muckleroy in service record; surname spelled as McKelroy and McKleroy in bounty land file) Bounty land Warrants 2156-80-55 and 22670-80-50 November 1850 State of Georgia, County of Carroll On this fifth day of November, A.D. Eighteen hundred and fifty, personally appeared, Mark McKelroy, and after being duly sworn according to law declares that he is the identical Mark McKelroy who was a private in the company commanded by Captain William E. Adams in the Battallion commanded bgy Major Alexander in the War with Great Britain and the Creek Indians; That he was drafted in Putnam County in the State of Georgia on the 7th ? day of August A.D. Eighteen hundred and twelve. That he continued in actual service in said War for the term of four months and was honorably discharged at Fort Lawrence on or about the ?? day of December A.D. Eighteeen hundred and twelve as will appear by reference to the Muster Roll of said Company as his certificate of discharge is lost or mislaid. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the Bounty Land to which he may be entitled to under the Act of granting certain officers/soldiers who have beeen engaged in the service of the United States, passed on the 38th day of September 1850. Mark McKelroy, X his mark Sworn to and subscribed before me this day and year above written, and I do hereby certify that I believe the said Mark McKelroy to be the identical man who served as affadavit said and that he appears to be of that age, as above written. March 19, 1855 State of Georgia, Carroll County On this nineteenth day of March, A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, personally appeared, Mark McKleroy, aged sixty seven years, a resident of Carroll County in the State of Georgia, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical Mark McKleroy, who received under an Act of 28th September 1850, a land warrant for eighty acres, for services in Captain Wm. E. Adams company in the Georgia Militia, War of 1812, and continued in actual service about four months, and was discharged at Fort Laurens honorably, on account of sickness, as will appear by reference to the muster rolls if said company, his discharge being lost. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the Bounty Land, granted by the Act approved March 3, 1855....
