The Schley County News  Thursday, May 9th 1895  No. 19

Carroll county's centenarian, Mr. Eason Stamps, who lives about five miles 
south of Waco, and who, if he lives to see June 22d; will be 103 years old, is 
very sick with pneumonia and little hope is entertained of his recovery.  Mr. 
Stamps was a soldier in some of the Indian wars in his young manhood and is 
well known all over western Georgia.
