The parties were Lee Teal, Will Teal and Sam Teal, three brothers, on the Alabama line of this county. It is said that these boys had gone to Opelika, Alabama and has sworn out warrants against William Buchanan, their uncle, charging him with illicit distilling, and had come back to Georgia and swore out similar warrants against Buchanan. Buchanan in retaliation swore out warrants against the Teal boys in Alabama and Georgia, charging them with illicit distilling. These parties all live in the same neighborhood on the line of Georgia and Alabama and all the offenses are alleged to have been committed in the same community but on different sides of the state line. A neighbor of theirs, Jack Mitchell, is also charged with participating in the violation of the internal revenue laws.
