LOCAL News

Mr. Parks Chandler, an old citizen of Carroll, has returned from a years 
sojourn in Alabama to his old position at Billow Mills.  Mr. Chandler is a 
famous miller.

Married on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 11th, at the house of the bride's 
parents,  Mr. L.R. Pope to Miss Kippy Couch, all of this county.
----

DIED

Emma Entrekin, daughter of S.J. and Louisa Catherine Entrekin, born June 29th, 
1883, died of spinal meningitis on Dec. 5, 1884.  Little Emma was a lovely 
infant, the joy of her parents hearts and a spring of happiness to the whole 
household.  The bereaved parents have the warm sympathy of the whole community.

Married,  Mr. E.L. Long of Carrollton to Miss Lizzie Jeter of Senoia on the 
16th inst.

Married on the 11th inst. at the residence of Mr. Jas. Taylor the bride's 
father,  Mr. C.W. Lee and Miss Annie Taylor,  the Rev. C.W. Baskin officiating.

Married, Dec. the 10th at the residence of D.W. Sims of Carrollton,  Mr. Geo. 
M. Upshaw and Miss Martha Bridges, the Rev. A.C. Reese officiating.
----

Josiah Shinn has purchased the steam engine of Messrs. Yates and Chambers.
----

Arthur Jones is quite sick.
----

Mr. A.W. Shadrick is on the sick list.
----
