Issue of March 9, 1881

Carrollton  - - Mar 7 - - Mr. Perry Nixon, living four miles west of here, had 
his dwelling and smoke house with their entire contents consumed by fire on 
the night of the 5th instant.  The family were absent from home and knew 
nothing of the destruction of their property until they returned Sunday 
evening and found their home reduced to ashes.  The loss is severe on Mr. 
Nixon as there was no insurance on the property.
