AWBREY'S SISTER DIED IN BOWDON FEB. 24th Judge T.M. Awbrey was called to Bowdon yesterday to attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. F.M. Barrett. He was accompanied by his daughter Mrs. G.J. Whitaker and her daughters Misses Mary and Hazel. Mrs. Barrett was reared in Heard County where she has a host of friends and was a lady of rare and charming virtues. The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of friends throughout the county. The Franklin News & Banner. The deceased was a sister of Messrs. A.M. and J.J. Awbrey, prominent citizens of Roanoke who were called to her bedside several days previously by her illness.
