Obituary

On the morning of the 11th of August, Mrs. M.S. Boyd fell asleep in Jesus to 
awake in the Resurrection morn.  Grandma Boyd was born Dec 24, 1828, died Aug 
11, 1913 having lived to a ripe old age. Her husband preceeded her to heave in 
1903.

Grandma Boy has lives a true Christian life far back from .....

This is a partial obit of Martha Caroline Pyron, wife of Hugh Haron Boyd.  She 
was the daughter of Charles Allen Pyron and Nancy Pyron (his cousin).

1. MARTHA CAROLINE5 PYRON (CHARLES ALLEN4, WILLIAM "BILLY"3, CHARLES2, WILLIAM 
C.1) was born December 24, 1828 in Greene Co. GA?, and died August 11, 1913 in 
Garrison, TX (per obit). She married HUGH HARON BOYD February 19, 1846 in 
Meriwether Co. GA, son of WILLIAM BOYD and MARTHA BOYD?. He was born February 
03, 1826 in SC, and died March 09, 1903 in Garrison, TX.


Children of MARTHA PYRON and HUGH BOYD are:

i. SUSAN6 BOYD, b. 1852, ga; m. SAMUEL P. HUNT.

ii. LUCY A. BOYD, b. September 13, 1853, Carrol Co. Ga,near Villa Rica; d. 
April 06, 1934, New Deal Tx,; m. HENRY LEROY WILLIAMS, September 07, 1870, 
carroll co. ga, book D, pg 144; b. November 02, 1852, Carroll Co. GA; d. 
September 28, 1878, Carroll Co. Ga.. (died age 26).

iii. JAMES WESLEY BOYD, b. July 26, 1855, Carroll Co. GA; d. May 24, 1931, 
Garrison, Nacodoches Co.Tx; m. JOSEPHINE ELIZABETH RICHARDS, December 09, 1878, 
Alabama per obit; b. August 19, 1864, GA; d. March 28, 1943, Garrison, 
Nacogodoches Co. TX.

iv. ALICE BOYD, b. 1860, Carroll Co. GA; d. April 14, 1925, Hotel Dieu, Port 
Arthur, Texas; m. J.J. ? HUNT.

 

 

 


This was my great  great great grandmother, her daugher Lucy A. Boyd who 
married Henry Leroy Williams is my great great  grandmother, her daughter Mary 
Lorene' Mollie' Williams married Lucas Marion Teal and they are my great 
grandparents.  I've researched the family for over 30 years. Will be happy to 
share anything that I have.
