F.M. Fielder, our much beloved and esteemed friend and brother, passed away May 22, 1895, after an illness of about ten months. Bro. Fielder was 73 years and one month old to a day. He was converted and joined the Baptist church when about 17 years of age. Oh how we will miss him in the church and at home. His funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Villa Rica, where he had long been a member and a spiritual advisor, by his pastor. His chair is all that is left of his visible presence, but his work will live after him. He leaves a dear wife, Martha M. Fielder, and two faithful children, Atha R. Strickland and Oscar A. Fielder. May God bless and comfort them. His pastor, T.E. McCutchen Note: Francis Marion Fielder was the oldest child of Terrell and Rebecca Nolan Fielder. He was born on April 22, 1822 in Morgan County, Georgia. Francis married Martha Dobbs in 1848. Martha was born on March 12, 1830 in South Carolina, the daughter of Silas and Nancy Myers Dobbs. She passed away on October 9, 1899. Francis and Martha are buried at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia
