Rev. Wm. A. Parks of Whitesburg died Friday at the home of his daughter Mrs. 
Luke G. Johnson in Gainesville after a short illness. The deceased was 76 
years of age and is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. Luke G. 
Johnson of Gainesville, Mrs. T.C. Betterton of Chattanooga, Tenn., Prof. 
M.M. Parks of MIlledgeville and Miss Mary Parks of Gainesville. The funeral 
took place at Whitesburg on Saturday morning.
