J.A. WILSON OCCURRED LAST FRIDAY Mr. James A. Wilson died at his country home three miles southeast of Roanoke last Friday afternoon, as a result of an extended illness. He was 77 years of age. He was the object of unremitting care throughout his long sickness but the infirmities of age bore him steadily on to the inevitable end. Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday afternoon by Rev. W.P. Hines and the interment was at the old cemetery south of Rock Mills. Mr. Wilson had long been a prominent citizen of this section, having come here from Georgia many years ago. He was a successful man of affairs and will be missed by those with him he was associated. He is survived by two sons, Mr. W.L. Wilson, an attorney of this city and Dr. L.E. Wilson of Bowdon, Georgia. - - - (same issue) ROCK MILLS News Sept. 30th The remains of Mr. Jim Wilson were interred here Saturday afternoon.
