She is buried among three direct generations of THOMPSON descendants & related 
families in the church cemetery, Clem United Methodist Church, Clem, Carroll 
County, Georgia, USA;

Velma Leona THOMPSON resided with her parents in the home.  She was a daughter 
of S. A. [Salathiel/Selathiel A. "SAM"] THOMPSON, born circa 1867, and his 
wife, Barbary/Barbery "Barbara" Ann THOMASTON, born circa 1868, both her 
parents late of Carroll County, Georgia, USA and both buried in the church 
cemetery, Clem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Clem, Carroll County, 
Georgia, USA;

Velma Leona THOMPSON was a granddaughter of Reverend Francis 'Frank' Asbury 
THOMPSON, born circa 1837, and his wife, Melinda [Malinda] Elizabeth [thought 
to be OTWELL], born circa 1836, both late of Carroll County, Georgia, USA; and 
both buried in the church cemtery, Clem United Methodist Church, Clem, Carroll 
County, Georgia, USA.  She was also a granddaughter of Jehu THOMASTON and his 
wife Martha HILL THOMASTON.

Velma Leona THOMPSON was a great granddaughter of [Rev.] Chesley THOMPSON, 
born circa 1804, and his wife, Mary Ann 'Polly' HUDGENS, born 1813, late of 
Georgia; a great great granddaughter of Henry THOMPSON, d. 1817-1826, Jasper 
County, Georgia, USA; and a great great granddaughter of North Carolina 
Revolutionary War Veteran William HUDGENS;
