John A. Mitchell Co. F 44 Miss Inf. CSA 1842-1910 Photo was taken for me 22 Sept 1996 by Ray Walker Additional Comments: John Alonzo Mitchell was the son of John Dabbs Mitchell and Martha Ann Finley. They were a family of harness makers who went from GA to AL to MS and back making and fixing harnesses as they went. This makes tracking them difficult. John was nice enough to settle in Carrollton and stay there. I'd love to be in contact with anyone working on this line. Mitchell, J A Co. F, 44 Miss.
