It is a small community of Carrollton so when we were searching we had a difficult time in finding it. I only started out knowing my Dad was born in Clem and it was one of those things when you read signs on the road you are now entering then a few miles down you are now leaving. We took the main highway heading out of Perry and I can't think of the name right now that led to Clem. Another point is that Henry Fuller's property was on Old Newnan Hwy and at one time was Old New York. We had met with M.T. Fuller, who is the Fuller Family Historian for Carrollton, and he has so much knowledge of the area and what a treasure he is. He is in his 80's now and sharp as a tack. We saw in the church records that Henry and Ora plus sons Walter (my grandfather), Emmett, and daughter Bertha were admitted to the church Nov. 4, 1900. The other children hadn't come along yet I can add that Henry Taylor Fuller was born May 17, 1846 and died Sept. 9, 1922. His wife Ora Rebecca Fullilove was from Oct. 2, 1848 to Aug. 8, 1916. I went to the Clem United Methodist Church Cemetery and took pictures of the headstones. We also had a chance to go into the church which was rebuilt from the original that founded in 1897 burned down many years ago. My father and grandparents did attend this one as it stands now which was rebuilt in 1909. Reverand William Davenport was the first. Pastor Tom Howson is presently in charge. It is small and has maybe 8 pews if I remember correctly but so lovely. I had such a great feeling knowing my family had been there too.
