    Domingo Layton Stewart Jr.  b. March 24, 1924 - d. Feb. 21, 1989

D. L. Stewart 64, died thursday at the Veterans Administration medical center 
at Lake City Fla, after an illness of several months. He was a native of 
Folkston Ga but had lived in Pearson Ga the last 12 yrs moving from Lafayette 
La. He was a retired commercial electrician and a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran. 
His father was the late D. L. Stewart Sr.  Survivors are his wife Betty Vining 
Stewart of Pearson;  2 daughters: Mary Ellen Bailey of Homestead Fla, and Kathy 
Jacquez of Cleveland Texas, 2 sons: Domingo Ellis Stewart of Houston Texas and 
Danny Stewart of Folkston, His mother Goldia Hodges Stewart of Folkston, a 
brother: Roy Stewart of Blackshear Ga, and a sister Mary Lou Birdsong of 
Folkson. 14 grandchildren and 4 great -grandchildren.  Funeral will be held at 
11 am Saturday at Tanner Baptist Church in Coffee County with the Rev. Fred 
Hesters officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Tanner 
Cemetery. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson is in charge of arrangements.
