Fields tutcher@camdencounty.org Aug 2003 Marcus E. "Edd" Prescott Sr., 73, of St. Simons Island died Wednesday at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. William Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery near Folkston. Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles or the Corinth Cemetery Association. He is survived by his wife, Elise Guy Prescott of St. Simons Island; a daughter, Patti Prescott Causey, her husband, William Ricky Causey, and his son, William Rusty Causey, all of Brunswick; son, Marcus "Mark" E. Prescott Jr. of Peachtree City and his children, Katie Elizabeth Prescott of Athens, Jon Robert Prescott of Newnan and Ryan Prescott and Madeline Elise Prescott, both of Peachtree City; son, Shelley Matthew Prescott, and his friend, Gary Wayne Sergent, of Austell; and a sister, Sally Prescott Beale of Danville, Va. Mr. Prescott was a native of Charlton County, Georgia, and had been a resident of St. Simons Island for 18 years. He was retired from Interstate Paper Corp. in Riceboro and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Prescott attended the First Baptist Church of St. Simons. Submitted by: Tara D.
