     Mrs. Evie Fowler Sikes, 66, of Folkston died Sunday at her home.  Mrs.
Sikes was born in Alachua County, FL and had lived in Folkston for the last 53
years.  She was a member of the Little Phebe Primitive Baptist Church.
     Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Avis Wallace, Jackson,  MS, Mrs.
Geneva Crews, Jacksonville, FL,  Mrs. Madeline White and Mrs. Virginia Wade,
both of Folkston; three sons, Vanice H. Sikes, Lousiville, KY, Thomas H. Sikes,
Pinellas Park, FL, and Donald G. Sikes, Folkston;  two sisters,  Mrs. Emily
Johnson and Mrs. Vera Howell both of Waycross;  three brothers, Willie Fowler,
Alma,  Jack Fowler, Warner Robins, and E.G. Fowler, Waycross; 22 grandchildren,
and seven great-grandchildren.
     Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Little Phebe
Primitive Baptist Church near Folkston with Elder Fred Bethea officiating. 
Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.  
     Adkins Funeral Home of Folkston is in charge.
