Vault (https://www.georgiaarchives.org/).

James Houston of Savannah to Nathaniel Adams of St. Helena Parish, South
Carolina, 500 acres on a neck of land between Vernon River and Little Ogeechee
in Christ Church Parish, bounded to West by marshes of said river, South by land
originally granted to Sir Patrick Houston deceased and now belonging to Joseph
Butler, Esq., and to North by land then vacant but since granted to Thomas Fraser.

Witnesses: Thomas Ross, William Evans.



Additional Comments:
This was a lease and release in two parts, the first dated 26 December with
consideration of 5 shillings, and the second dated 27 December with
consideration of £250, same witnesses on both. Proved by William Evans on 16
February 1774 and recorded same date.
