I, Henry McAlpin, Ordinary of said County do verify I personally know Mrs. Mattie A. Flynt, the applicant and that she is the lawful widow of Augustus S. Flynt who was on the Pension Roll of said Chatham County and was paid pension from Chatham county for 28 years. 12 October 1927. The pensioner, August S. Flynt died in Chatham County on 5 September 1927 and at the time of his death a pension of $50 was due him from Chatham County and unpaid for 1927. Applicant further swears that she married the said Augustus S. Flynt on the 8th day of January in Talifero County and State of Georgia and resided with him from the date of marriage to his death as his lawful wife and is now his dependent widow and she asks that the Pension so due and unpaid be paid to her.
