Alexander, son of Dr. J.M. Alexander, of Savannah, was as last Tuesday near Quitman. A charge of buckshot entered Alexander's back, tore through his body and passed out in front near the left breast. The heart must have been terribly mangled by the leaden missiles. The watch, pocketbook and other personal effects of the deceased were untouched and as he had placed them in his pocket before leaving home. Additional Comments: Transcriber's note: I'm not related to or researching the Alexander family.
