J.H. Estill of the Savannah Morning News is dead and great is the loss to Savannah and to Georgia. He was not only prominent as publisher but was prominent in many of the great business enterprises and charitable institutions of that city. He was for twenty years president of the Georgia Press Association, and endeared himself to the editorial fraternity of the state. He was a brave soldier during the civil war, and was a prominent candidate for governor of Georgia in the last election. A good man has gone to his reward.
