Sept 9, 1883 - Savannah Morning Telegram - P4 C8 -  JOHNSTON - Died in 
Savannah, Ga. July 12, 1883 -  Edward Albert, infant son of
Owen B. H. and Ellen C. Johnston aged six months  and
sixteen days. "A mother's sorrow for the loss of a beloved
child cannot be assuaged by the common places of condolence.
There is one  thing, however, that should soften a mother's
sorrow under such a bereavement  -it is the reflection that
little children are pure and "of such is the kingdom of
Heaven":

He left all his pain and sorrow,
  When he left his form of clay;
We have still the empty casket:
  God has called the gem away.
 
So we feeL we haVe not lost him,
  Though to us he may not come;
For we'll find him up in Heaven,
  When the agels bear us home.
