(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net March 21, 2009, 6:26 am The Savannah Morning News 11-6-1973 Page 5A Mrs. Minnie Jones Mrs. Minnie Rowland Jones, 86, of 1309 E. 54th Street, died Monday after a long illness at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple, the Order of the Eastern Star Bethelem Chapter, Senior Citizens and the Ruth Sunday School class. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. L. C. Lewis of Savannah, Mrs. C. E. Cook of New Orleans, La., Mrs. W. N. Parker of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. W. E. Hayes of Atlanta; a son, James Jones of Savannah; three sisters, Mrs. W. E. Butler of Macon, Mrs. Levata Hutchinson and Mrs. Cleo Cary, both of Waycross; 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Fox and Weeks Funeral Home is in charge. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10AM at Calvary Baptist Temple with burial in Lax Cemetery. Additional Comments: Minnie was born 12-15-1886.
