Mrs. Walde Nilsson

Greenville, S.C. -- Mrs. Edna C. Nilsson, 62, of Lavonia died Saturday at 
Greenville Hospital after a short illness.
     She was a native of Savannah and had lived in Savannah most of her life, 
having moved to Lavonia two months ago.  She was a member of Aldersgate United 
Methodist Church.
     Surviving are her husband, Walde H. Nilsson of Lavonia; a daughter Miss 
Selma Catherine Nilsson of Greenville; four sons, Walde H. Nilsson Jr. of 
Piedmont, S.C.; Carl R. Nilsson of Greenville, and Jack E. and Dale Nilsson, 
both of Spartanburg, S.C., and seven grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm today at the Mackey Mortuary in 
Greenville with burial in the Greenville Memorial Gardens.  
     Remembrances may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Additional Comments:
Edna was born on October 11, 1915, in Savannah to John Henry Kobbe and 
Catherine Burch Kobbe.  She had three brothers - John Henry Kobbe Jr., Robert 
Kobbe, and Thomas E. Kobbe.  Robert ("Bobby") and Thomas were adopted.
