O'Connor, whose sudden death in Lake City, Fla., while on a visit there for treatment, at the government hospital, was held here this afternoon. His death created intense sorrow in Savannah. Mr. O'Connor was for years secretary of the board of purchase of the city, and the flag of the city hall flew at half-mast two days in honor of him and Halma Iverson, another member of the board who died Wednesday night. Mr. O'Connor died suddenly from heart trouble. He was a World war veteran. Additional Comments: Transcriber's note: I'm not related to or researching the O'Connor family. The gentleman's surname is spelled two ways in this death notice - O'Conner in the title of the article and O'Connor is used throughout the article. I have no way of knowing which spelling is correct. I would assume O'Connor because it is spelled that way several times in the notice. His middle initial in the article is a little blurred, but the letter appears to be an "F".
