MORTUARY.

Funeral of Mrs. Owens.
Savannah, Ga., March 2-
The funeral of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Gordon Owens, widow of the late George 
S. Owens. took place this morning at 11 o'clock from Christ church, of which 
her family have been long communicants.  Rev. Robb White conducted the 
services.  Mrs. Owens has lived in Savannah almost all her life and was one of 
the most highly esteemed and best beloved ladies of the city.  She was the 
second daughter of General William Wayne.  She leaves nine children.  They are 
Mrs. L. W. Haskell, George W. Owens, Mrs. W. H. Daniels, Mrs. J. S. Munnerlyn, 
Miss Margaret W. Owens and T. Lloyd Owens.  The pallbearers were W. J. DeRenne, 
W. G. Charkton, John Morris, D. C. Barrow, George Cosens, A. R. Lawton, C. A. 
L. Cunningham and A. B. Elliott.  The interment was at Laurel Grove.
