The Wabash, Ind, native was a retired Army technical sergeant and had lied at Ft Screven, Svannah Beach for 55 years. He was a member of the Spanish- American War. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth O Reed of Chambersburg, Pa, and Jack S Reed of Selma, Ala. Sipple's Mortuary is in charge.
