The Georgia Enterprise, January 12, 1900
     Col. John Screven, one of the best known men in the state, died Monday at 
his home in Savannah after a short illness. He was 72 years old and has been 
mayor of his city for a number of years.

Additional Comments:
The Georgia Enterprise was published in Newton County, Georgia up to 1905.
