This cemetery appears to have many open spaces but many tombstones were 
destroyed during the Civil War when Union soldiers camped here.  

Supposedly out of boredom Union soldiers changed dates on many of the 
tombstones here.  I saw several stones that were good examples of this.  (i.e. 
children born before their parents, etc.)
