The name was changed in April, 1850. For many years, it was a substantial log house, but now is a weather-boarded frame building. The old church customs and simple forms of worship which were observed by its founders have been kept alive and the preachers and members have adhered to the same articles of faith subscribed to by its first moderator. The creed and articles of faith found in the old church records were signed by the following residents of a past century: Brothers Israel Chapman, Paschall Wall, John Wall. Sr., Maddox Wall, Ebenezer Nelson; Sisters: Nancy Chapman, Dorcas Wall, Sarah McDuffie, Elizabeth Greer, Hannah Greer. July 16, 1932, Mrs. M. R. Hollis and Mrs. G. J. Miller of Cusseta carried the author of this volume to County Line where the following names were copied—being among the oldest whose graves are marked at this cemetery.
