The first location for this church was near the Massey-Parkman Cemetery, but was later moved to a more convenient site on the Bald Hill Road (west of Cusseta. In Deed Bk A, Oct 10, 1855, James C. Coleman deeds to the Deacons of Good Hope Church (M. Amos, C.H. Goolsby and J.C. Benton) 2.5 acres. In a separate deed, William Morgan grants their right of way to a spring on his property. Good Hope Church moved a third time, this time near Harp's Mill and it remained in this location until 1920 when the property was sold to Fort Benning. Membership included: Parkman, William H. "Uncle Billy" Parkman, Miss Beulah [d/o William H. and Susan Ann Blackburn Parkman] [b. May 26, 1862 - d Jan 1927] Farr, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. and their family [buried in Massey-Parkman Cemetery. Wife was Mary Jane Parkman] James, Mrs. Parkman, Mr. and Mrs. and family Parkman, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Willis, Mr. Bill and family (Lee, Edgar, Tom, Charlie, Ella, Lula and Mattie) Sapp, Dr. and Mrs. W.A. and family Stephens, John, Walsh and Curtis Stephens, Miss Gertrude Harp, Mr. and Mrs. A.D. and family Surls, Tom, Henry, Fannie, Hattie and Julia Dodson, Charlies Dodson, Mattie and Alice Cunningham, Arthur and Tom Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Andrews and son Parks Myrick, Mr. and Mrs. R.J.
