Eckles upon motion of W. T. C. Brannon, plaintiff's counsel, case cont. having over ruled a motion of E. G. Raiford, defendant's counsel, to dismiss case. Sept. 1863. Col. Wm. Davis app. guar. for Harriet R. Hastings (over 14 years of age) who has an interest in Est. in state of Alabama. Oct. 3, 1863. Petition shows that Charles W. Matthews was recently killed in battle while in Confederate service, possessed of considerable Est. Daniel Matthews app. Admr. Terrell J. Brooks of Marion Co. in possession of effects belonging to this Est. Will of Mrs. Rachel Christian of Baker Co. names her children (living in Chattahoochee), Michael L. Witt, Mary A. Cobb, Sarah A. Christian late of Chattahoochee Co. dec'd in the Confederate service possessed in his own right a claim against sd. Gov't for services rendered Gov't in the army; laws of Confederate States make it obligatory ls. of Admn. be obtained upon his Est. Burrell Smith petitions for such letter. Nov. 1863. Francis McGovern granted ls. Admn. Est. of Patric Burns dec'd. Wm. Davis app. guar. of Charles M., Jeremiah and Thomas Hastings, minors, now residents of Ala. with considerable property in Chattahoochee Co., Ga. N. N. Nicholson app. Guar. of Narcissus M. A. Darcus L., Nathaniel L. and Martha S. Matthews, minors of H. Matthews. The undersigned would show he is the father of John J.
