Chattahoochee County
This indenture made this Twenty Fifth day of May in
the Year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Fifty Nine
between William H. Layfield of the County and State
aforesaid of the one part and John F. Daniel of the
same place of the other part.  Witnesseth that the
said William H. Layfield for and in consideration of
the sum of Four Hundred Dollars to him in hand paid
at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath granted bargained and sold and conveyed and
doth by these presents grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said John F. Daniel his heirs and assigns
all that tract or parcel of land situated lying and
being in the County aforesaid known in the plan of
said County as number  (23) Twenty Three in the (5)
Fifth District of said County containing One Hundred
One and One Fourth acres more or less the same being
the east half of said lot of land.  To have and to
hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said
John F. Daniel his heirs and assigns together with
all and singular the rights members and
appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner
belonging to his and their own proper use benefit
and behoof forever in fee simple and the said
William H. Layfield will forever warrant and defend
the title to the above described premises.

In witness whereof the said William H. Layfield hath
hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the year
above written.
