Agnes, Berry, Harry, Ralph, Virginia, Willie (dec'd); m. H. A. Jenkins; son, H. A. Jenkins, Jr. (3) Minnie m Robert Spruill of N. C.; ch. Willie and Clara Lee Spruill. (4) Mattie m. James Tumlin; d. 1901. (5) Willie m. John A. Foxworth; one ch. Mattie Virginia Foxworth. (6) Asa, (dec'd). Sallie Virginia Jones, wife, of W. D. Berry had brothers and sisters as follows: Tom, Hendley, Charles, Lizzie, Joanna, Nancy and Mattie. Charles m. Mildred Chapman; Hendley Jones m. 1st Betty Frazier: ch. Otis, Ada (Mrs. W. F. Bradley), Walter, Hendley Jr., Terrell, Charlie, Ida (Mrs. Hall), Marshall and Cleveland; m. 2nd Missouri Barbaree; one ch. Madeline; Lizzie Jones m. John R. Robison; ch. Ella m. 1st Sam Nicholson; m. 2nd Hamp Stevens; Charlie m. Lula Walker; Bennie (dec'd), Nancy Jones m. B. R. Folsom, ch. William (dec'd), Mary, Carrie and Cliff. Joanna Jones m. Ben Wyatt; ch. William (dec'd), Olin (dec'd) Sallie, Ike, Carlton (dec'd) and Annie. Sallie Wyatt m. 1st Lucius Jones: ch. Martha Joe (Mrs. Grady Bentley) and Lucius; m. 2nd E. B. Chambless; ch. Eldora and Ira Lou Chambless (Mrs. Ray). Annie Wyatt m. J. E. Smith; ch. B. J. m. Tina Martin; Elby m. Eva May Underwood. William T. Jones (b. 1804; d. 1869) and his wife Polly Ann (b. 1813; d. 1883) were parents of Mrs. Sallie Virginia Berry and others. William T. Jones was brother of Walker Perry Jones who m. Francis McNaughton in 1850. William T. Jones m. Mary (Polly) Ann Jones, sister of Joanna Jones who m. William Bagley. These two families named Jones were not cognizant of any relationship. Melford Jones, a brother of William and Joanna Jones m. Martha Hollis, a sister of Marlin Hollis, Sr. Six ch. viz: Jas. M. Jones m. Teresa McNaughton and after his death his widow lived with his mother until her 2nd marriage to W. D. Chapman, William Lucius b. 1844; d. 1902; whose family record has been given; Mary E. m. Dan'l M. Chapman; Millie A. Jones m. A. L. Reaves and Genie Jones m. Jas. Parkman in 1883 moved to Texas. Barbara Davis, another sister of Mrs. Wm. Bagley, was mother of Samuel Davis, whose wife Susan C. Davis b. July 6, 1831; d. April 25, 1910, and her three daughters lived in Cusseta many years. One of the brothers of Mrs. Bagley, John Keeling Jones b. Apr. 3, 1801, d. July 15, 1860, m. Martha Castleberry. a sister of Judge James Castleberry. One of their sons, Rhesa Jones, lived in this county. Parents of this Jones family (several other ch.) were Samuel and Elizabeth. In 1827, as a soldier living in Putnam Co., Samuel Jones drew lot 297 in 32nd D. of original Lee, now Chattahoochee Co. This is at Gobbler's Hill (Manta) and he later owned other lots of land nearby on which he was living at time of his death. Records of adm. of his est. by Wm. Bagley begin in 1851 and end in 1864. Samuel Jones was a wealthy man, having many slaves, whose names are enumerated in an inventory of his Est. A deed made in 1845 (recorded in Columbus) by Samuel Jones gives to his granddaughter Mary Lizzie Jones (dau. of Wm. T.) a negro girl Phebe.
