E. Chapman, Sr, There were three brothers named Chapman who settled, one in N. C., one in Ala., and one, William in Talbot Co., Ga. William m. Miss McNeil: 2 ch., Daniel McNeil Champman, b. May. 2, 1840 and Mildred. Their mother died when Millie was 2 years of age. Their father married again, but lived only 2 or 3 years after his second marriage, so these children lived in their grandfather McNeil's home in Talbot Co: When D. M. Chapman was about 16 years old, he came to Chattahoochee Co. and served as mechanic and millwright under Judge J. S. Allums (whose wife was Mary George, and the George and McNeil families had intermarried). When 19 years of age he married Lucy Bagley, 3 ch. (1) William, had two ch., Wyatt Chapman, who is a fine musician and Orrie (Mrs. Averett). (2) Mary m. John B. Williamson of Ellaville; 4 ch., viz : Walter, of Albany, Ga.; Clark F.; Leila resides in Birmingham, Ala. and Robert W. lives in N. C. (3) Joseph E. m. Eula, dau. of Eli Monroe and Sarah Cole Averett, ch.: Irene, Lucy (Mrs. J. F. Gratz), Eula (Mrs. G. C. Richardson), Joseph E., Jr. and Lyclia Belle (Mrs. Frank Lowe), Joseph E. Jr. m. Edwina Smenner, 2 ch., Jos. E. III and Daniel McNeil Chapman. After the death of Lucy Bagley, Daniel Mc. Chapman m. Mary E. Jones; two daus. Lila and Alma; Lila m.
