We were told by Judge Mark Biandford when he was in partnership with Thomas Grimes in. their law practice at Columbus, G.a that the Culpeppers came to this country from England. There were three brothers who helped to build the city of Savannah. Judge Blandford said his father and my great grandfather whose name he said was Daniel were neighbors for years. Christopher Culpepper came to Jones Co. and from there moved to Muscogee Co. in that part later Chattahoochee, and settled on lot of land No. 38 in 5th dist., on which afterwards he was buried in the S.W. corner. He brought with him two small sons, John and Henry, about 10 and 12 years of age.
