FISHER, ADAMS AND ALLIED FAMILIES

    Rev. Charles Fisher was one of Chattahoochee's wealthiest men during slavery
days. His stately home on his plantation near the river 17 1-2 miles from
Columbus, Ga., was burned in later years by order of county authorities after an
epidemic of smallpox there.

    The first record found of land bought in Muscogee (Chattahoochee) Co. by
Rev. Chas. Fisher was Dec. 28, 1838.

1877, age 84 years.

    David C. Cody was a son of Lawson Cody who m. 2nd Frances E. Adams; one son,
Walter Cody. Lawson Cody's father was David Cody; his will recorded in Talbot
Co., 1850.

    After death of Lawson Cody, Frances E. A. Cody m. John Smith, one dau. Mamie
(Mrs. Bray).
