    Three brothers, Nimrod Nelson (Nim), William S. (Billy),-and Tillman W.
(Till) Howard all born in Wilkes Co. Ga. came to Muscogee (Chattahoochee) Co.

    William S. Howard b. in 1810 m. Amanda Hall; two daughters Mary J. and
Martha; Mary J. m. 1st Geo. H. Kelly, two ch.: George and Eugenia Kelly; George
m. Miss Daniel. Eugenia in. Geo. A. Ogletree; Mary J. Howard m. 2nd David J.
Fussell; Martha Howard m. Wiley R. Phelts; ch.: Etta m. Thos. Brooks; Cordelia
in. Jesse Boon and Minnie m. Mr. Hammock; ch. of Thos. and Etta Phelts Brooks:
Eulalie (Mrs. Fred Sawyer of Jacksonville, Fla.), Gordon Eugene (dec'd) Leon and
Etta Ruth (Mrs. Hubert Denham).

    Tilman W. Howard b. 1820 and his wife Elizabeth had several ch.; moved to
La. many years ago.

April 25, 1821, d. March 8, 1897; ch.: (Dr.) Thomas W. m. 1st (Mrs.) Fannie B.
Harvey (nee Murphy) b. April 21. 1839, d. April 8, 1886; Lumpkin L. Howard b.
June 16, 1847, d. Aug. 8, 1925, m. (Mrs.) Hattie W. Sapp (nee Wooldridge) two
ch.: Homer m. Fannie Waddell June 7, 1888; several ch.; moved to Texas; Hattie
Ella m. Dayton Taylor, d. April 14, 1902. Martha L. only dau. of N. N. and Mary
E. H. Howard b. Jan. 25, 1849, d. May 25, 1891, m. John J. Patterson May 4,
1869; one dau. Lena m. Cliff Walters; lives in Atlanta, Ga.

    Charles Nelson Howard b. 1844, d. Nov. 5, 1923, m. Emma W. Wooldridge; ch.:
(1) Charles Nelson Jr. b. Dec. 2, 1868, m. Cora A. Brooks; ch. 3 sons d.
infancy; Mabel m. Brady Mitchel Apr. 30, 1919; two ch.: Betty Van and Ann
Mitchell; Patsy Ruth, m. William Jelks Long Jan. 27, 1927; one ch. Patricia.
Long; (2) Annie b. 1871, m. J. C. Benton Jan. 31, 1894; ten ch. (3) Clyde b.
Apr. 26, 1873, d. March 7, 1912; m. Fuller Mynatt; one son Clyde Mynatt; (4)
Mary b. 1876, m. Dayton Taylor; resides in Texas; (5) Gus Hill b. Jan. 3, 1878;
m. May Belle King June 8, 1899; (6) Hubert b. Aug. 21, 1880, d. Feb. 14, 1930;
(7) Leila b. Aug. 17, 1884, d. Nov. 5, 1919, m. Hardy Tomblin; several ch., d.
young; two living, Emma Lou (Mrs. Frank Layman) and Mildred (Mrs. D. B. Denney
Jr.).

    After death of their parents Emma Lou and Mildred lived at home of Mrs.
Dayton Taylor in Texas.

    Ch. John and Annie L. Howard Benton: Clifton Howard, (served with the U. S.
Army over sea with the 55 Tel Battalion as electrician during the World War),
Emma (dec'd) J. C. Jr., Mary Alice (Mrs. C. L. Lantrip, 4 ch.), Kenneth Malcomb,
Evelyn (Mrs. Zev Von Gupton), has two ch., James Theron, Robert Ronald m.
Juanita Marcus, has two ch.; George Wilmot, J. Landrum, Raleigh B., Marvin,
Woodrow Wilson. J. C. m. Enid Hambright, has two ch.

    Ch. of (Dr.) Thos. W. and Fannie B. Murphy Howard. Nimrod Nelson, Walter
Murphy, Mary Lou (Mrs. Milton Long, Sr.) one son Milton Long Jr. m. Miss Kline;
Walter Murphy Howard m. Martha Schmidt; ch.: Hazel (Mrs. H. West), Lura (Mrs. J.
J. West), Walter M. Jr., Kathryn (Mrs. J. E. Johnson), Frances and Render.
William and Mariah House had two daus. Mary (Mrs. N. N. Howard) and Evaline who
m. Harrison Thomas, a native of Virginia, and resident of Upson Co. Ga. in 1827
when he had a draw in that land lottery. Harrison and Evaline House Thomas had
only one dau. who d. young at their home near Cusseta. They reared five sons
viz: Malcolm, m. Lucy Stokes; Alvah m. Clara Watkins; Charles, Lafayette and R.
K. Thomas.
